One of the main uses of note taking software is to quickly store a piece of information that you've found somewhere: on the web, or in any of your day-to-day applications. That's where CintaNotes can save you a lot of time. All you need to do is mark the text that you want to store and press Ctrl+F12. And voilà! CintaNotes' main window pops up, focused on the new note with the clipped text, along with the source URL of the website or the local storage path of your document.

No long-winded copy & paste activities, no plugins to be installed - CintaNotes comes with clipping technology out of the box.

You can focus on collecting information while taking notes. At the same time, CintaNotes provides sophisticated tools for automation of your note management: you can easily add your clipped notes to topic sections and tag them with hierarchical tags.

Some fields beside the text are also filled automatically — the title of the source application window is taken as the note's title, and if you clip text from a website, the note's Link field automatically receives the URL of the page from the address bar of your browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera, Chrome and Safari are supported).

Enhancements:
Added settings option "selection.followedited" to control whether focus should follow the edited note (enabled by default)
Added settings option "tags.hierarchy.backslashes" which determines if tag input fields should automatically convert backslashes to forward slashes.
Improved display of note preview when note has remarks but no text
Editor: only suggest tags from edited note's section in context-sensitive tag suggestions

Fixes:
Fixed one remaining possible reason for crashes upon pasting rich text into note editor
Main windows position was not saved when exiting the program using tray menu
Regression: tags autocomplete popup cut off text
Editor: undo of some formatting changes didn't work
Search by tag text didn't properly implement whole word search (i.e. when "search inside words" was turned off)
Main window was needlessly activated after using "Add new note" hotkey
